The bike story
During the early 2000s, Euskaltel-Euskadi was the ultimate cult team of the professional peloton, famous for its fiercely loyal fans and climbing specialists. Ridden by iconic Basque fighters like Iban Mayo, Haimar Zubeldia, and the legendary Roberto Laiseka, this Orbea model was born for the mountains. The bike famously stormed to incredible heights, including Laiseka's emotional and historic stage victory at Luz Ardiden during the 2001 Tour de France, and Iban Mayo's legendary dominance at the Critérium du Dauphiné. It is a frame that embodies pure grit, climbing pedigree, and Basque pride.
