Iconic Bianchi Steel bike

The Bike details

Description

This one came home in 2017.

A Bianchi in its legendary Celeste paintwork is already a masterpiece, but the GB-MG team edition is a true holy grail for 90s cycling fans. It perfectly captures an era of aggressive racing and pure Italian style, instantly recognizable with that iconic blue-green hue contrasting with the team’s bold sponsors.

The frame is crafted from premium Columbus TSX tubing, famous for its internal helical reinforcements that made it stiff enough for the powerful classics riders of the peloton while retaining that sublime, comfortable ride quality that high-end steel is known for.

Out on the road, it is a magnificent piece of cycling history. It delivers that timeless, smooth, and planted feel that only a top-tier Italian steel frame can provide, turning heads on every single ride.

The bike story

During the 1993 and 1994 seasons, GB-MG Maglificio was a dominant powerhouse in the peloton. Ridden by legends like Mario Cipollini, Pascal Richard, and Johan "The Lion of Flanders" Museeuw. It racked up an incredible list of victories, including Museeuw’s iconic 1993 Tour of Flanders triumph, Cipollini’s classic wins, and multiple stage victories at the Giro and the Tour de France. It is a frame born for the top step of the podium.
