The Bike details
Description
This one came home in 2014.
The Eddy Merckx in the legendary Domo-Farm Frites livery is the absolute crown jewel of my collection, representing my favorite team and holding the title of my all-time favorite paint scheme. Built under the strict supervision of the « Cannibal » himself, this frame is a masterclass in Belgian racing heritage, engineered specifically to withstand the most brutal abuse a professional racer could throw at it.
Visually, the bike is an absolute masterpiece of early-2000s cycling design. The striking combination of the Domo blue and white, mixed with the iconic Farm Frites branding, creates a clean, aggressive, and timeless aesthetic that stands out in any crowd. The frame utilizes high-end, custom-shaped oversized tubing designed to maximize bottom bracket stiffness while maintaining the legendary, rock-solid stability that Eddy Merckx frames are famous for. Out on the road, it delivers a deeply connected, bulletproof ride quality. It handles high-speed descents with absolute poise and handles rough roads with a reassuring toughness, making it the perfect blend of sentimental passion and elite engineering.
